While fruit "IS" nutritious, it unfortunately isn't a dieter's best friend.
Some fruits are just too high in fructose, a sugar that can lead to weight gain.
But guess what!!! berries; such as blueberries, strawberries and raspberries are much higher in antioxidants and fiber, but low in fructose. As a rule, the darker the fruit or vegetables the more antioxidants- which clenses your body of unwanted toxins, which is crucial for successful general well being and weight loss.
Thats why I'll only ever really use berries in my smoothies....
